My spotlight shines on Evernight Publishing!

~Welcome, can you tell us a little about you and how you got started in the publishing world?

My hope was to create an author-friendly publishing house that focused on all sub-genres of quality erotic romance. I believe we’ve achieved that goal!

~ How much time do you dedicate to the publishing world?

Publishing is a full time job! Many hours go into running Evernight. I usually work well into the night.

~ How does your family feel about what you do?

My family is proud of what I do.

~ Is there anything that you like to do when you’re not publishing?

When I’m not working in publishing, I’m usually writing or spending time with my family.

~ Do you handle everything yourself or do you have a team you’d like to tell us about?

It takes a team to run Evernight! Our staff includes editors, review coordinator, marketing manager, cover artists and administrative assistants.

~ What criteria do you look for when you choose a story to contract?

We want to see books that have well developed plots, strong conflicts, memorable characters and dialogue.

~ How do you handle a story/author if you decide it’s not a good fit for your house?

Authors appreciate honesty. We send a note explaining the manuscript is not a good fit with Evernight Publishing. Just because a story isn’t right for us, doesn’t mean it can’t find a home somewhere else.

~ Where do you come up with your themed ideas?

Our readers! Readers asked for more sci-fi erotic romance so we created our exclusive series Planet Alpha. We also theme our anthologies to what’s hot in the erotic romance market.

~ What genre’s do you accept and what is not allowed?

 

We accept all major sub-genres of romance. We also accept Urban Fantasy stories. No pedophilia, bestiality, incest, infidelity, rape as titillation, necrophilia, underage sex, or depraved acts.  No books from a series started elsewhere or previously published books. We are not currently seeking any sweet romance.

Our Evernight Teen imprint caters to the fourteen and over age market where main characters are between the ages of 16 and 21.

~ Do you have open submissions right now?

Yes! We are actively accepting submission at Evernight and Evernight Teen.

~ Is there anything else you’d like us to know about your publishing house?

Evernight is growing each year. We publish at least one new release every weekday. Our authors are supportive of one another and we love to hear from our readers.
